That's an excellent idea! Do you have anyone's email address off the bat?

Also, I got bored at work today and added two fun new things

There is a Contribution Score that you can add to your user page - it shows your score, and how many edits you've made to unique pages.

But the best one is the Babel template that shows which languages people speak!

If you want to see an example, you can take a peek at my user page.

^^ No, only the generic off the website one.

Here's a page someone could put together, but I'm not sure if/how it would work: a "quotes from exchangers" page. From time to time people on the boards ask for quotes they can use to convince their parents. When people post these, can we go ahead and put them in the wikipedia (with their permission of course!)? Then any others who come along can have those to look at.

I made a 'convincing your parents' page, which is where those quotes could go. Someone before also mentioned uploading powerpoint presentations (there are heaps of people on these boards who have created one) and those could go there too, I allowed powerpoint and word files to be uploaded now .

I added a page about exchange in the media-magazine articles, etc. If anyone knows of any more to add, that would be awesome!

That's because it's a category page - you can't edit those, they're automatic. To make a country page it would be best just to do a search for the country that you want to make a page for (so search 'Thailand' or whatever) and then click on 'create this page'.

Definitely try and email webmaster@yfu.org. To be honest, I'm not actually sure who receives those emails (either communications/PR or IT) but the people in both of those offices are all very nice.

Hey guys, mediawiki just released the vector skin (which is the same as Wikipedia has now) so if you're tired of looking at beige like I am, then I suggest you pop on over and change it to the pretty blue one

Also the wiki has a new logo.

There's also some awesome new stuff there for your user pages ... and while you're changing your preferences, you could do some content adding and editing *hint hint*. The wiki is only as good as we make it
